CLASS PROJECT

Senior Design Project – This project uses visible light infrared cameras to detect and track moving targets. A partner and I have to use or make a security camera system, along with a programmable FPGA logic system to display movement to track moving targets. First, we design an algorithm that works in Matlab that tracks an user specified target. The algorithm is made up of sub algorithms that do multiple things, such as cut out regions of the video that make it easier to track the target. The algorithm can also detect velocity and acceleration to detect where the target could be going ahead of time. After completing the algorithm we made sure it worked on several videos that were recorded. Then we programmed to cameras with the algorithm that will work hand in hand together, to track a target.
Digital Systems Project– Early experiments concentrated on basic logic devices, and then more complex combinatorial circuits follow, including adders, multiplexers, encoders, and decoders. Low level memory devices including latches and flip-flops, counters and registers are developed. The use of advanced logic device technology prepares students for work using an industry-standard design. These projects were done using Nexys, and Adept software, and a Nexys3 FPGA programmable board.
Analog Circuits– Design, build and analyze circuits, using transistors and transistor amplifiers. In order to obtain a certain value for voltage, amperage, and resistance, I would design a circuit using Mulitmeter, Resistors Bread Board, and N3904 Transistor.
WORK EXPERIENCE

Trans-Lux Fair Play (St. Louis, MO) June 2015 – present Field Service Technician: Trans-Lux is a manufacturing company that works with a variety of LED digital display products. As a field service technician I travel over the country to service the many LED displays. I am there for initial installations, where I have to correctly replace LED modules, setup the software for the display, and any other services that the LED display may need. I also respond to current customers and service their LED displays as needed. I work with many software programs such as Nova Studio, Epic Management, Proline, TeamViewer, and many more.
