ESTIMATION OF QUANTITIES FOR CIVIL AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING MATERIALS

Estimates of materials to be used in new or rehabilitation project across Puerto Rico: amount of concrete, steel, pipes for water distribution and sanitary systems, fixtures, mechanical and electrical equipment. Some price calculations are done during the work performed to estimate final cost for bidding.

STRUCTURAL/BRIDGE ENGINEERING ANALYSIS AND DESIGN
Bridge Branch of EFLHD, FHWA: Analysis and design of bridge structures located in Federal Lands in the Eastern USA. Work includes analysis and design of beams under deck, the deck, railings, joints, approach slabs, abutments, diaphragms and wingwalls. Quantity and elevation calculations. Preparation of plans from scratch, only with data given by surveyors and geotechnical engineers important for the design, showing all pertinent components of the structures and sending them to the highway and geotechnical branches for completion and finalization to be used by the construction branch.
