Modeling of a Two Span Bridge Under Earthquake Loads in SAP2000 – City College, Spring 2015
The project consisted in modeling a two span bridge under earthquake loads and support displacements.
Structural Design of a Research Facility in Northern Alaska– City College, Spring 2015
The project consisted designing a one story one-way slab reinforced concreted facility in Northern Alaska, for research purposes. The design follows ACI Code 318 and was modeled using SAP2000.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Research Assistant - The City College of New York, NY August 2015- Present
(Funded by National Science Foundation and Louis Strokes Alliance for Minority Participation. Principal Investigators: Ardavan Yazdanbakhsh and Larry Bank)
• Collect and analyze life cycle inventory (LCI) of Glass Fiber-Reinforced-Polymer (GFRP).
• Perform a life cycle analysis (LCA) of recycled GFRP from wind blades.
• Assess the environmental impact of alternatively utilizing recycled GFRP in concrete as supposed to natural coarse aggregate.

Civil Engineering Intern, Highway Design & Construction – New York City Department of
Transportation- June 2015-Present
• Model existing streets, avenues and markings in Queens County.
• Verify the accuracy of the drawings by conducting measurements in the field.
• Responsible for updating street markings to ensure compliance with MUTCD and NYCDOT standards and specifications.

Research Assistant - The City College of New York, NY August 2014- August 2015

• Collected LCI for natural coarse aggregate (NCA) and recycled concrete aggregate (RCA).
• Conducted life cycle analyses for NCA and RCA in concrete.
• Performed compressive and tensile stress tests for NCA concrete and RCA Concrete.
• Successfully concluded that in concrete RCA presents a greater environmental threat, due to the extra cement required and the CO2 emissions associated with this extra cement.

International Research Assistant - Merida, Mexico July 2014

• Successfully collected data related to housing conditions and construction material used in 7 communities along the peninsula of Yucatan.
