Electrical Foreman
Manager of 9 electricians and 2 elevator mechanics, who are responsible for the Inspection, maintenance, repair, modification and preventative maintenance of the entire electrical distribution system and 22 elevators for the medical center. This includes but is not limited to the main substation, primary feeders, secondary feeders, branch wiring, switchgear equipment, primary and secondary disconnects, circuit breakers, protective relays, transformers, a variety of controls, all emergency and electrical generation systems including related components, interior and exterior lighting maintenance, repair, modification and preventative maintenance of all elevators, conveyors, automatic doors, trash and linen chutes and intrusion alarm systems.
Electrical distribution systems supply electricity and lighting service for a 1,077 bed medical center consisting of (8) patient buildings, (2) outpatient buildings and other administrative, research and patient therapy buildings spread over 268 acres.
Responsible for planning comprehensive programs for the maintenance, repair and preventative maintenance of all underground, above ground, interior and exterior electrical distribution and lighting systems. Responsible for budgets, purchase orders and material procurement, forecasting, manpower requirements and scheduled shutdowns. Prepares job estimates, able to modify and install new systems, prepares and monitors service contracts.
