New York City Housing Authority – Office of Emergency Management, September 2019 – March 2020
Community Coordinator: Served as an emergency manager and oversaw large-scale emergencies at housing developments. Coordinated with city agencies, residents and government officials to ensure open communication, the efficient deployment and procurement of resources and ensured that recovery goals were met. Managed employee files. Monitored development staff, contractor performance and provided situational updates to executive leadership and elected officials. Ensured compliance with HUD regulations, led interagency and resident meetings, mediated conflicts and assisted in responding to media inquiries. Evaluated and analyzed the performance of response efforts, led emergency preparedness presentations, addressed timekeeping and payroll challenges for twelve employees and served as the municipal representative in citywide committees and events.
